Error - Attributes not supported

Description

This error occurs when using an invalid _underscore_column for the chosen category.

The error will look something like this:

Attribute '{_underscore_column}' is not supported for Category '{category_name}' listings.
Leave this column blank for '{category_name}' listings.

In simplest terms: You cannot use that column for this category.

The problem is one of these:

• You uploaded values in an unsupported _underscore_column
• You uploaded the wrong category for this product

All the _underscore_columns are pre-defined for each category on Etsy. Shop Uploader template can have multiple categories and not all _underscore_columns in the template are supported for each category.

Solution

To fix this error:

• Remove the values in the problem _underscore_column
• Make sure you selected the correct category

If your template has multiple categories

Some _underscore_columns overlap with different categories but they have different supported columns values for each category.

The Shop Uploader Excel template has conditional formatting which will highlight the cells red if you’re using an unsupported column or value.

The Shop Uploader Excel template also has hidden sheets, that lists the exact columns and values that are supported for each category.

You can also create a new template for each category to eliminate this problem, because only supported columns will be included in the template.
